Medium-tv.com is a place where I write my thoughts about the show. I guess you could call this a "blog". I put this place together because after every episode I always have something to say. I welcome other fans of the show to join in the discussion by sharing their thoughts in the forum. Maybe someday i'll turn this into a full featured site with pictures and the lot, but for now it will just be a place for fans to interact.

Ratings for Last EpisodeLast episode dropped quite a bit. Only 9 million viewers tuned in for the episode. Criminal minds, the freshman CBS drama actually topped Medium this week. I think this is a wakeup call for CBS and the Medium writers. Get back to the stories and themes that got you here.
On a related note, people have been discussing why the show can't pick up new viewers. This is because unlike most shows nowadays, Medium is built on long character archs and development. One cannot simply turn on the tv and hop right into the story. I think this is what makes the show so good--the characters. CBS needs to stop trying to snare more viewers and to focus on treating their current viewers right! Hurumph!

Ouch. 3DWow. The 3D episode SUCKED! And the critics are eating NBC alive for this episode. I called this! Why can't the writers just stick with solid story archs?

Lifetime buys Medium!!!Woah. This is amazing news folks. Lifetime television has purchased the exclusive rights to the show. $1.35 MILLION dollars per episode! That is some serious coin for such a small cable network. The re-runs wont start most likely until the show is finished its run on NBC. Too bad though, i'd like to catch re-runs on other nights of the week.

You don't tell Ally what to doJoe gets dreaded jury duty on a murder case. But of course Allison starts to see visions about him. The D.A. tells Allison to stop due to the conflict of interest involved. Come on. You don't tell Allison to STOP getting visions. That is just plain silly. So of course we know what happens after this. I really enjoyed this episode and want to talk about it, but i'm out the door right now. Be back soon.

Battle of the MediumsAllison works with the D.A. to put away a murdered, but the other side has a medium of their own. The outcome comes down to who has the strongest psychic powers. This episode is supposed to be really good folks. That comes from Arquette herself in a recent Variety interview. So def. turn on that TIVO.

Sweet Dreams are made of. . .Is it me, or is this a repeat plot? Not that I don't mind repeat plots. I mean the show definitely has a theme that needs to be recycled, but still. LAST EPISODE! Last episode had the same story. This is pretty unacceptable. I sure hope the writers havn't run out of ideas here. I was pretty disinterested by this episode, and I imagine when the overnights from Neilsen come in tomorrow they will show that most viewers felt the same. I have indeed noticed this 'staleness' thus far in season 2 and am worried viewers are going to drop the show. :(

"Light Sleeper" ...Me too!This episode was cool. Maybe just because I am a semi-sleep walker. I often wake up on the couch in my living room and have no recollection of getting there. Anyways, as for this episode, Allison has developed a sleep walking problem that is getting worse and worse. The lack of sleep is affecting her work, and her family. I like the tension her lack of sleep causes. It is done very subtle, but well. The kidnapping case in this episode is thrilling and goes down to the wire. I'd give this episode 4 stars.

Keep on Truckin'The show's ratings have keep almost exactly even with last seasons average. This is to be expected. One can also predict a rise this season as more people discover the show. I am presuming that these ratings are solid enough for NBC to pickup the show early for season 3. A press release should be out mid-season. Stay tuned for more on that. Oh. The numbers are around 15 million.

A bit of a spoilerAn episode coming in late November will be presented in 3-D. Yes, as in 3 Dimensions. This is just a sweeps week gimmick and I was hoping NBC was above this sort of junk. But I speak too soon perhaps...it could be good so I will reserve judgement. I'll keep you posted on that as more information comes out.
